Obituary


Francis Lawrence Cronin passed away on March 25, 2011. Francis was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Francis was the son of Timothy and Lillian Cronin.
Francis will be survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Louise Lupinacci Cronin, his two loving daughters Christine Mayer and her husband Michael and Eileen Tufts and her husband Ryan, and his two loving sons Brian Cronin and Sean Cronin. Francis also leaves behind his two sisters, Lillian Booras and Kathleen McGilvray and her husband Russell.
Francis served in the U.S. Navy in the Submarine Division....

Francis Lawrence Cronin passed away on March 25, 2011. Francis was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Francis was the son of Timothy and Lillian Cronin.
Francis will be survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Louise Lupinacci Cronin, his two loving daughters Christine Mayer and her husband Michael and Eileen Tufts and her husband Ryan, and his two loving sons Brian Cronin and Sean Cronin. Francis also leaves behind his two sisters, Lillian Booras and Kathleen McGilvray and her husband Russell.
Francis served in the U.S. Navy in the Submarine Division. Francis served the City of Stamford, CT for 37 years being promoted to Assistant Chief of Police in April 2010. He also served as Chairman of the Stamford Police Pension Board. Francis graduated Boston Latin High School and received his Bachelor of Arts from Iona College.
Francis touched and changed the lives of many throughout his life, his optimistic and vigorous spirit will live on in all those loving friends and family who will continue to love and cherish his memory.
Calling hours will be Monday March 28, 2011 from 3-8pm in the Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St Stamford CT. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday March 29, 2011 at 10am at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist at 279 Atlantic St Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
