Clarissa Marion Davis 91, a resident of Stamford, CT passed away at the Stamford Hospital on January 10, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Marion and William Waring Sr. Clarissa was born November 11, 1926 in Stamford, Ct. She loved playing bocce, bowling, playing cards, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She also loved the NY Mets, giants, figuring skating, game show network. Her greatest joy was being with her Hugh family she created. She was the daughter of the late Marion and William Waring Sr. Clarissa was born November 11, 1926 in Stamford, Ct. She loved playing bocce, bowling, playing cards, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She also loved the NY Mets, giants, figuring skating, game show network. Her greatest joy was being with her Hugh family she created. Clarissa leaves her sons Richard Davis of Stamford, Robert Davis (Brenda) of Winsted, daughters, Patricia Franco (Paul) Margret Gautrau, Susan Hunter of Stamford, Catherine Lynch, Marion Clayburn (Dennis Sr) of Fairfield, Elizabeth Fuda (Rich) of Norwalk and Barbara Lyons (George) of OH and a sister Mary Stewart of Bridgeport. She also leaves several grandchildren, great Grandchildren nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Nelson and Roy Davis and daughter June Mone.
Visiting hours for Clarissa will be held on Saturday, January 13 from 10:30am to 2:30pm at Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford. A funeral service will be held immediately after visiting hours on January 13 at 3:00pm at Saint John's Episcopal Church, 628 Main Street, Stamford. Burial will be private.
